This partnership led to the establishment of Afghan Gold and Minerals Company (AGMC) in 2011, an entity dedicated to harnessing the nation’s abundant mineral resources. Backed by a consortium of 14 distinguished international investors under the banner of CENTAR, AGMC embarked on transformative mining projects, with a notable focus on gold extraction in Northern Afghanistan. By unlocking Afghanistan’s mineral wealth in a responsible and sustainable manner, AGMC and its partners aimed to contribute to the country’s economic growth and create opportunities for local communities.
